What a year 2025 has already been

Wow, the last few months have been an exercise in change and patience.

After working super hard to get the handmade site up and running and thinking that that was where life was taking me, I looked at my costs and income and realized that the only feasible way to actually make money from that company was to only sell online. Therefore, the website is still up and running and anyone who wants to order bread, cupcakes, cookies, etc can always reach out to me. I will not be going to farmer's markets and shows though.

On the plus side the audiobook for The West Haven Undead should be live anywhere you get your audiobooks. I have started recording book 4 in that series, A Vampire Named Allison. I cannot give a realistic finish date on that, but hopefully by the end of April it will also be out. I know that after that, I will have book 5 to record, when it gets sent to me. (It is still with the editing team, then has to go back to the author, Nick, then eventually, it will get to me.) Nick has also asked that I record books 1 & 2 for him, on his own dime not the publisher's, since the original narrator left and I took over. Audiobook people are not huge fans of changing narrators in a series. So, after book 5 is recorded and up, I'll be heading back to book 2, then book 1.

On the editing side, I've edited so many books over the last 6 months, that I have completely lost track of them. The amazing author Eskay Kabba has started sending me a new series called The Ranger's Magi. As always, these books are spicy. This fantasy erotica series has been a ton of fun to read. If you like male-on-male erotica and you like magic and fantasy books, this series will be right up your alley.

Toward the end of 2024, I came to the realization that I have begun feeling burnt out. I love editing and narrating, but they aren't what I want to be focused on. What I want to do, is share my knowledge of yoga and meditation with the world and help everyone find inner peace and maybe, just maybe, help contribute to more happiness and mental health along the way.

However, I had become so caught up in trying to make money, I mean who hasn't, that I had stopped actually doing yoga and sharing it. In January, I started time blocking my hours better so that I can spend approximately 60% of my working hours on book stuff, editing and narrating, and 40% of my working hours on yoga stuff, reading, learning, teaching, recording, etc. One of the first things I knew I needed to do was rebuild the Wanderlust Yoga site, which I did. I really like how it came out, let me know what you think.

Supported Bridge Pose: This pose targets the low back and can also include the hip flexors and upper body with variations.

I also logged back into my yoga teacher training for the first time in almost two years and fully completed my 20-hour Yin yoga certification, then I took a 20-hour restorative yoga certification class (that I did not think did a great job). There are a ton of additional webinars that the company I got my 200-hour certification from, Yoga Renew, has uploaded for those of us that certified through them to access. I have been working my way through those webinars, and they are excellent.

The scariest, for me, thing that I have done is actually started filming stuff and uploading it to YouTube! I have 4 tutorials completed, one live. I am also working on scripting classes because it has been so long since I have actually taught. Once I have a few scripts written, I will be recording those and publishing them as "podcasts" so that people can listen to them anywhere that will be convenient. I will then record myself completing the session and upload it to YouTube as well. But that is down the line a ways.

I haven't spent any time behind the camera other than to make yoga content in the last several months, so hopefully, I can find more balance in my life and start taking more pictures, too.

Well, I think that is all for now. I will be updating, when I think it is important to do so.

Until then, be well,

Kris
