Happy April!

Welcome new readers, and old.

Congratulations to everyone that has made it to April. You have officially survived the first quarter of 2024!

If you and yours celebrate Easter, I hope it was a good one. Even if you don't, I hope that you had a great month of March.

This month's photo of the month is from last year's Epcot Flower & Garden event. I love the bright spring colors.

The Editing World

My editing list is getting longer and longer. This isn't a bad thing.

For the month of March, I went through and polished the Cedric Series by Valerie Willis and The Wolves of Wharton Series by Beau Lake.

No matter how many editing eyes have been on a book, there will always be a mistake that someone new finds.

If you are into action and adventure mythology books, I strongly suggest you check out Valerie's books. They are a ton of fun. I didn't polish the first book, Cedric, but I did read it to be comfortable with content and story.

If you are into real world shifter romance/erotica check out the Wolves of Wharton books. I didn't polish book 3 yet, since Beau is giving that book a facelift.

The Narrating World

With my editing list getting as long as it is, I haven't been great about auditioning for books to narrate. I am hoping to get a few out in April because I am definitely excited about this part of my journey.

Health and Fitness

Many of you may not know this, but I am a certified yoga and meditation teacher and am a certified personal trainer and health coach. As passionate as I am about those fields, a certain free video streaming service has made those fields much harder to be profitable and a certain photo sharing service that now offers video sharing has built up an image-focused industry that I simply do not want to participate in. Therefore, I have decided to go ahead and give all of my readers a bit of my insight every month.

Fitness

Now that the weather is getting better out, why don't we go ahead and focus on going outside?

That's one of the best things about the weather getting nicer. During the winter, being outside is difficult and a lot of work. During summer, it's actually dangerous to be outside sometimes. That's why spring and fall are excellent times for outdoor exercises.

Research has shown that taking your exercise outdoors actually improves both your overall mental health, and your physical health. You are more likely to be far more physically active outside than you are inside, without any added perceived effort! That's so awesome. That means that literally just getting outside will motivate you to be more fit.

If you have allergies, make sure you take your allergy meds, then slather on the sunscreen, because cancer is no fun, and head outside and do... something. Gardening, walking, jumping jack, anything. Breath the fresh air in and feel more in touch with yourself and the earth.

Nutrition

Mmmm, fresh fruits and vegetables. Once spring hits, we in our household stop meal planning our lunches. We still plan breakfast and dinner, but for the rest of the day, we just buy a ton of whatever fruit and vegetables are in season. We then wash it, cut it, and stow it in the fridge. This is a great way to ensure that we are eating plenty of fruits and vegetables throughout our day. And it's always exciting to see what's in season.

Mind Body Connection

Outdoor yoga is amazing and rejuvenating. Yoga is great at opening your mind and letting your body feel grounded and strong.

Take your mat outside and practice some warrior poses.

My favorite warrior pose is warrior 2 because when you turn your rear palm up you mentally acknowledge that you are looking/reaching for your future while releasing your past. It's a strong stable pose that helps rejuvenate and ground you at the same time.

Much love to everyone,

Kris
